Latin Phrases

by Samantha
(Baltimore)

Dear Latin Teacher,

How do you say "what r u doing today" and "it is cold"?

Sincerely, Samantha

Dear Samantha,

What are you doing today is quid facis hodie? It is cold is frigidus est. We use the masculine frigidus referring to the unexpressed dies, which is masculine.

Of course, your one-letter abbreviations are hard to reproduce in the Latin.

Hope this helps, and thanks for asking a Latin teacher.

Sincerely,

John
