English to Latin Translation: Family before all other

by Melissa
(St.Cloud, MN)

I'm putting together a gift for family member at my wedding and would like to know if this quote is correct in its wording. I want to say "Family before all other" I did some research and got: "Familia ante ceteros"

Thanks so much for your help!!!

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Your Latin quote works fine as it stands: It means "Family before the rest". While there is no "all" in the Latin, it is not needed.

Thanks for asking a Latin teacher!

Sincerely,

John
