Latin Teacher Gift

by Anonymous

Dear Latin Teacher,

I want to engrave a gift for my Latin teacher (in Latin) that says thank you, teacher.

What should I say it?

Dear Anonymous,

See previous post about a tribute to a high school Latin teacher.

Teacher is Latin is usually magister for a man and magistra for a woman.

Gratias tibi ago, magistro = I thank you, male teacher

Gratias tibi ago, magistrae = I thank you, female teacher

Gratias tibi agimus, magistro = We thank you, male teacher

Gratias tibi agimus, magistrae = We thank you, female teacher.

Hope this helps and thanks for asking a Latin teacher.

Sincerely,

John
