Latin Roots
by Amanda
Dear Latin Teacher,
What does the Latin Root Post mean?
Thanks, Amanda
Dear Amanda,
Post means either after or behind, as a preposition or an adverb. When used as a preposition, it takes an accusative noun to complete its meaning. E.g. post meridiem means after noon.
Hope this helps, and thanks for asking a Latin teacher.
Sincerely,
John
