Latin Language: Meditations of Marcus Aurelius

by Anne
(ViƱa del Mar, Chile)

Dear Latin Teacher:

I have read a similar question already on your webpage.

I would like to know if there is any version of the book (that is not online) Meditations of Marcus Aurelius written both in English and Latin, so far I have not being able to find any.

Best regards,

Anne.

Dear Anne,

The reason you are having trouble finding a version in Latin and English is that the work is originally in Greek.

You can find a Greek-English version at Loeb: Marcus Aurelius (Loeb Classical Library)

You may find a Latin version here: Marcus Aurelius (Latin Edition)

Sorry I don't know of an English-Latin version! Maybe I should create one from public domain texts.

Hope this helps, and thanks for asking a Latin teacher.

Sincerely,

John
