Great Friend in Latin

by scarlet
(GA)

How do you say you are a great friend in Latin?

Dear Scarlet,

Try this: Carissima amica es (feminine) or Carissimus amicus es (masculine).

Carissimus/carissima means very dear. Other superlatives you might try are optimus, optima, meaning the best, or maximus/maxima, meaning the greatest.

Hope this helps and thanks for asking a Latin teacher.

Sincerely,

John
